Community Resources

Hi Promise Community School Families!

As a community school, we place importance in making sure our families are connected to resources and information in our community. Throughout the school year, we share a compiled list of resources from BakerRipley and other places in Houston every 1-2 weeks. These are not always resources that the school district is directly responsible for so we share contact information so that you can follow up with the appropriate people.

This week's resources are focused on a grief counseling group, food fairs, digital literacy classes, and more.

The PCS counseling department would like to inform you that they are offering a 6 week grief support group at Ripley House Elementary School. It will begin the week of April 12, 2021, (next week) for students that have lost a loved one. This will be a safe place for them to express their thoughts and feelings with others that are experiencing a similar journey. If you would like your child to participate please contact Shirley Smith ssmith@bakerripley.org (713) 208-0886 (English) or Mailyn Sheldon mmorales-sheldon@bakerripley.org (346)354-7628 (English and Spanish).
